Members of the Clarence Street Road team in action
Joining a club is possibly the best way to improve your cycling. Most clubs run regular rides and can provide guidance and coaching. Some clubs focus on racing while others conduct only social rides. Some specialise in road riding, while other clubs may be mountain bike or BMX specific. Some clubs do it all.
Cycling clubs fall under the umbrella of state or national governing bodies who can advise you on your nearest or most appropriate club.
For road and track racing, contact Cycling NSW. Visit www.cyclingnsw.org.au or call 02 9738 5850 for more information.
For information on triathlon clubs go to www.trinsw.org.au
For mountain bike specific clubs visit www.mtba.asn.au
For BMX clubs visit www.bmxnsw.com.au
For social and recreational riding visit www.bicyclensw.org.au or call 02 9218 5400.
Bicycle NSW also provides excellent third party insurance for cyclists, which is important if you are a regular rider or commuter.
